The Hindu adoption and maintenance act of 1956 allowed a single man to adopt a child (girl or boy). But, there are some circumstances that follow which one needs to fulfil. A male adoptive should be 21 years old or above than that and should be able to meet the financial needs of the child so that kid can live a good life. Denying the adoption of a child to a single man is not an excuse and is not acceptable. If you have got a rejection then you can appeal your complaint to the court or you can demand an explanation from the orphanage.
