I was driving my bike and the other girl was crossing the road, she yelled at me in front of the public who was there on the roadside. The reason to do this was nothing but she thought that I had hit her. People called the police and I was handed over to them for no reason. What should I have done in that situation ?

Mostly there are CCTVs in every traffic signal. So, you can ask the police to check that and confirm that you have done nothing.
Rash driving is a bailable offense under section 279 of the IPC. If the other girl was not injured, the police might charge you with a fine of Rs.1000 only and might not imprison you.
