Stop texting 
You can avoid texting or maintaining friendship with him. It would be better if you avoid the abusive talk at first and then going legally.
Warning 
You can give him a warning that if he continues to send these type of messages then you will file a complain to the cyber crime or to the police man. This would probably stop him to disturb you again.
