In such situations, you first need to be calm and assertive. Sexual abuse towards men is a taboo in a society where humans deny accepting that men also face sexual abuse and rape. Society has made men the perfect existence of rocks where they can’t feel and behave emotionally. They belong to a masculine community and are not supported when it comes to their safety or legal affirmations.
Why does society denies to accept male rape or sexual abuse?
For a long and long time, people have maintained a standard that talks in favour of females but not males and that is where society has this mindset that doesn’t talk openly for men, it restricts them to open up. The so-called “All Males & Females Are Equal” was never actually alike, society always raise its voice for women and left behind the men for doing the same. Indian society is much more conservative compared to any other country, they generously are not interested to listen out the truth and so in the law.
Legal supports are made for women, be it rape or be it any kind of crime against them. Men are not actually preferred by law to keep themselves safe and protected.
Is there any way you can fight this phase?
Yes, of course, there are many ways as long as you want to be in the fighting field to protect yourself. Seniors are always dominating and strict when it comes to work and deadlines but harassing you and abusing you sexually is something that can’t be ignored and flew off in the air. You should be strong enough and fearless to raise your voice. If you’re someone who is office going then you must take this happening to the office staff so that rest of the people can be kept untouched and secured. You must fight back and make this reality come in a flashlight so that people can be aware of such unusual and unacceptable activities done by seniors. You can lodge a police case against your senior for exploiting your mental peace and making you suffer with several insecurities.
If you’re a school or college-going student and your seniors are doing such activities, then you must involve your parents in this matter and explain every little detail. Your parents can help you by making this matter up to the school authority and asking them about the security concepts of students. In this case, also, you can lodge a police complaint against your senior and let the cops do their job and investigate the whole matter. Make sure you confidently defend yourself and answer all the questions to the cops without any hesitation or fear.
You’re not responsible for what happened to you but you are responsible for bearing and tolerating it. Stand and fight for yourself.
